Taxi drivers chase foreigners at the taxi rank

Only South Africans are permitted to trade after verification. They stated that they are tired of illegal foreigners dealing with drugs and counterfeit goods and have sworn to keep the BREE taxi rank drug-free.   According to the taxi drivers, foreigners are pretending to be selling equipment’s, food and clothing while they know behind that they are selling drugs for their children. They said they won’t even allow one Nigerian inside Bree taxi rank because they can use other ways to sell their drugs inside the rank. “We have been quite about this issue it is time for the foreigners to leave this rank, we have been seeing people going in and out and it is the same people which we discovered that there is something behind selling equipment’s and clothing,” said Sakhile Ndlovi, a taxi driver. ...

He was born in Eastern Cape at Gqeberha. As a photographer who comes from humble beginnings, he managed to get his first camera through selling ice blocks at campus, and around the community on his free time. Lazola Chiliwe   Lazola said that he is patient about his craft and uses photography as a way of telling people’s stories. He discovered his passion at the age of 10. He always volunteered to take his siblings pictures every time and would borrow his parents’ phone to capture interesting things he came across. “My business of being a photographer started to be recognised when I bought my first camera and I would go to the beach and shoot people. A huge Fresher’s party at Little Manhattan

The reason for the event was to freshen up students’ minds, allow them to distress them from their academic and to enjoy themselves before they write exams. Poster created by: Kevin Phehla The event was not only for the Manhattan students, some students from other residence were also invited but were charged an entrance fee of R100. Due to not having electricity on that day, the event did not start at the promised time. The residence manager had to organise a generator because it was getting late and the event hadn’t started. The event started around 19:00 and there were few people because students thought the event is no longer happening. The majority of students were wearing jeans, sneakers and jackets and some were wearing their tracksuits and T-shirts. They were bouncers were around the stage to provide for security. The match ended up with a draw of 1-1 between the two teams and moved to penalties and Killers FC won 5-4. As a couch sometimes it is difficult to deal with players because I am supposed to deal with their different mindset, but I am managing to train them perfectly.” He further explained that the first half was difficult because, the power of both teams was strong during of the game. “Penalties are not our strength sometimes, but I am glad they pushed so hard to win during the penalties,” Obakeng added.
